The Banner production environment will be unavailable Thursday evening from 9:00 PM MST to early morning Friday, while Oracle PSU Quarter 3 updates are deployed to the PROD environment. During this time, ALL Banner services will be inaccessible, which includes Banner 9, Self-Service, Web-Services, School Services, and DegreeWorks, etc.

Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 10/17

***Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 10/17/19***

Beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be installing Microsoft patches to campus computers. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work tomorrow to assist in the installation of these patches.

In addition, beginning at 9:30 PM and lasting roughly 1 hour, we will be installing updates to the Docker EE cluster. During this time, Banner web services will restart, possibly multiple times.

CS Maintenance for Thursday, 9/26 through Saturday 9/28

***Maintenance Activities for Thursday, 9/26/19***

Beginning at 9:00 PM, campus PCs will receive updates to Mozilla Firefox ESR and Google Chrome Enterprise. Employees are encouraged to log off, but leave their computers on when leaving work. This will assist the installation of these updates and minimize any impact.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be performing maintenance on several campus systems, including the campus blogs, events, how-to and cswiki servers, web database, freeradius, and the campus LDAP systems. There will be minimal interruptions to campus services as we perform these maintenance activities.

***Maintenance Activities for Friday, 9/27/19 through Saturday, 9/28/19***

Beginning at 9:00 PM on Friday, 9/27 and lasting through Saturday morning, Computing Services will be performing maintenance on all Windows servers and SQL servers. During this time, the following programs and services may be inaccessible and/or may reboot: TutorTrack, Axiom (may experience delays in uploads into Banner), PrintShop, AppXtender, Print Services (briefly), Donor II, and Camera Server reboots.

Banner Downtime and Maintenance for Thursday, 9/12/19

Computing Services will be performing several critical maintenance tasks that are required for our various systems. See below for details:

***Banner Downtime and Maintenance for Thursday, 9/12/19***

The Banner production environment will be unavailable Thursday evening from 8:30 PM to approximately 2:30 AM on Friday, while the Oracle PSU updates are deployed to the production environment. During this time, ALL Banner services will be inaccessible, which includes Banner 9, Self-Service, Web-Services, School Services, and DegreeWorks, etc.

In addition, there will be brief interruptions to both on-campus services and the Internet beginning at 9:30 PM, due to several maintenance activities, including file server updates and back-end systems. Throughout this time, on-campus users will experience brief periods where some services may be unavailable. All services (other than Banner as detailed above) are anticipated to be restored by 10:00 PM.

Banner and CS Maintenance for Thursday, 9/5 and Saturday 9/7

Greetings and welcome back from Computing Services! Now that the semester has begun and we are past our maintenance freeze, Computing Services will be performing several critical maintenance tasks that are required for our various systems. See below for details:

***Maintenance Activities for Thursday, 9/5/19***

Beginning at 9:00 PM and lasting until roughly 11:00 PM, Computing Services will be installing security updates on several Banner and DegreeWorks systems. During this time, ALL Banner services will be inaccessible including School Services, Banner Web, DegreeWorks, Banner 9, etc.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, the campus analog services (faxes, building monitoring, Faculty Drive phones) will be down for roughly one hour as we perform updates and maintenance on our analog gateway. All campus VoIP phones will remain operational throughout this maintenance activity.

***Banner Downtime and Maintenance this weekend***

This Saturday, 9/7, beginning at 6:00 AM, Computing Services will be installing critical security patches to PROD Banner and other back-end systems. ALL Banner services and Degreeworks will be offline during this time, and we anticipate systems will be available late Saturday night or early Sunday morning pending our successful verification of the maintenance.

Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday (7/11)

**Maintenance Activities**

Beginning Thursday at 9:00 PM and lasting to roughly 10:00 PM, there will be brief outages to faculty and staff office VoIP phones. This is due to a required firmware upgrade that Computing Services will be pushing out to campus phones. When arriving at work on Friday morning, your phone should function normally. However, if you have any problems, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us by calling the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk at 7741 or contact us via email at computingservices@adams.edu.

Computing Services Maintenance for tonight, Thursday (6/27)

**Maintenance Activities**

Beginning tonight at 9:00 PM and lasting to roughly 12:00 AM (midnight), there will be brief outages to both on-campus resources and the Internet. This is due to several maintenance activities to the campus firewall systems and several back-end systems. Throughout this time, on-campus users will experience brief periods where some services may be unavailable. All services are anticipated to be restored by 12:00 AM.

Also at 9:00 PM, all campus Mac computers will be receiving updates remotely for Flash, Firefox and Google Chrome. Mac users are encouraged to log off and leave their computers on to assist with the remote installation of these patches.

Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, June 20, 2019

At 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be performing a test of our backup Internet connection for Wireless and Residential network services.  Brief interruptions of service may occur between 9:00 PM and 10:30 PM.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, we will be installing Windows Updates to all PCs on campus.  Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work today to assist in the installation of these patches.

Banner PROD DB Unavailable – Tonight 05/16/19 @ 9 pm to midnight

The Banner production environment will be unavailable tonight from 9 pm to approximately midnight, while the Oracle PSU Quarterly updates are deployed to the production environment. The Banner Self-Service and Web-Services will be unavailable during these updates, which include functionality such as registration, add/drop classes, catalog, schedule, work study time entry, unofficial transcripts, etc.

A campus wide message will be sent out once the system is available.
