Computing Services is still working with our vendor to correct the expired certificate error that campus Banner users are seeing when logging into Banner. You can still get into Banner by continuing through the warning messages, but if you have any questions or would like someone to help walk you through this, please call our Helpdesk at x7741. We hope to resolve the issue soon to address this inconvenience. We will post any status updates to our Computing Services blog at https://blogs.adams.edu/computing

July 13th, 2017 — Announcement, Maintenance Announcements
Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, lab and TEC Classroom PCs and Employee Macs will receive several critical security updates for numerous software packages. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.
Also beginning at 9:00 PM and lasting until roughly 11:00 PM, there will be brief interruptions to various systems as we perform reboots as part of the patching process.
***Banner Certificate issue***
As many of you may know, we are currently working with our vendor to resolve an issue that is causing Banner users to get a certificate error when logging into Banner forms. Although we don’t have a precise time for the resolution, we are hoping to get the fix installed which will cause a brief outage to on-campus Banner forms. Our goal is to perform this fix after business hours. For more information on this fix, please visit our blog at https://blogs.adams.edu/computing

**Notice of computer inventory, CS Staff verifying locations of equipment**
Computing Services has begun our annual task of inventorying our computer systems across campus. This requires us to physically verify locations and tags on computing equipment. We wanted to ensure campus was aware that during this process, you will see our team of technicians in and out of offices. **Maintenance activities tonight**
Beginning at 5:00 PM, we will be performing some back-end DNS maintenance on several systems that should not impact services to our customers.
At 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be performing maintenance on the campus LDAP system. For roughly one hour, the user password change function will be unavailable as we perform this maintenance.

Beginning at 6:00 AM, a system upgrade will be performed on the campus SafeConnect system. There is no anticipated outage for this upgrade.
At 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be performing maintenance on several campus systems including the campus web print servers. There will be minimal interruptions to campus services as we perform these maintenance activities.

Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.
***Banner PROD down for critical updates starting this Friday, June 9th at 9:00 PM***
The Production Banner Database will be down starting at 9:00 PM on Friday night and lasting until late Saturday as we install critical Banner updates. During this time, ALL Production Banner services will be unavailable.

**Web and App Extender maintenance starting at 5:30 PM**
We will be performing maintenance on the campus BDMS system at 5:30 PM. If you are a web or app xtender user, please be sure to log out of the system when leaving work for the day.
**9:00 PM Maintenance activities**
Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, lab and TEC Classroom PCs will receive several critical security updates for the LogMeIn Calling Card, iTunes and Java. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.
Also beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be performing maintenance on several campus systems including the wireless network controllers and campus DNS servers. There will be interruptions to wireless access and other networking resources until roughly midnight as we perform these maintenance activities.
