Banner PROD DB Unavailable – Saturday 02/02/19 7am-2pm

Banner PROD DB Unavailable – Saturday 02/02/2019

The Banner production environment will be unavailable on Saturday from 7 am to approximately 2 pm, while the Banner 4th Quarter updates are deployed to the production environment. The Banner Self-Service and Web-Services will be unavailable during these updates, which includes functionality such as registration, add/drop classes, catalog, schedule, work study time entry, unofficial transcripts, etc. The modules to be updated are:

  • AppNav 3.1
  • Web Tailor 8.8.4
  • BDM 8.7.1.1/8.7.1.2
  • Finance SSB 8.7.0.3
  • Finance SSB 9.2
  • Faculty SSB 9.8

File server restored, home and shared drives available

Computing Services was able to restore access to campus home and shared directories around 6:00 PM on Saturday. If you have any issues connecting to your X: or S:  you will need to reboot your computer. If you are still unable to access the drives, or have any additional questions, please contact us at computingservices@adams.edu or at x7741.

Computing Services is still working through the rebuild and recovery process to restore access to home and shared directories. It appears that the process will take at least another hour, and will most likely run past 5:00 PM. Internet downtime on campus tonight (1/9/19) for required maintenance activities

Beginning tonight at 9:00 PM (Wednesday January 9th) and lasting until roughly 11:00 PM, Computing Services will be working to implement a new campus firewall system that will result in intermittent outages to our campus Internet connection. This is an upgraded system that is needed to address some network performance issues that we saw toward the end of the fall semester.
