Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, lab and TEC Classroom PCs and Employee Macs will receive several critical security updates for numerous software packages. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.

Coordinated Employee/Computer Move Procedure

ASU’s Computing Services and Facilities Services have developed a coordinated move procedure for on-campus moves. This is in effect for all office, computer and phone moves. This procedure is different than it has been in the past, and will allow for better coordination between the requester, Facilities Services and Computing Services staff. Moves will only be done one day per week, on Wednesdays. All requests for moves will be reviewed the Wednesday following receipt of request, and the actual move will be scheduled for the following Wednesday. Once the move schedule is locked in for the following week, it can not be added to.

Tickets are still needed for Facilities Services & Computing Services (both for the computer move and phone move).

Please be sure to include the following in your work order / tickets:

Name of Person Moving
Phone number to be moved
Name of computer being moved
Location being moved from
Destination Location
List of computer equipment to be moved
List of furniture to be moved
Note any special requests for furniture placement, rearrangement, or if furniture/computer need to be moved out of destination in preparation for move-in.

To request a move, please open a work order with Facilities Services at https://login.myschoolbuilding.com/msb?acctNum=1574793216&productID=MD.

Please open one ticket for the ‘Desktop’ queue, and one ticket for the ‘Phone Service’ queue at https://www.adams.edu/administration/computing/request_forms.php

Thank you for your support in following this steam-lined procedure. We believe this will make moves much more smooth and well-coordinated than in times past. We appreciate your help.
