CS Maintenance for tonight – 5/31 (File Server), and Banner PROD downtime this weekend

****Thursday Maintenance- Campus File Server Migration****

Tonight beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will performing a migration to the new file server that hosts the campus home (x:) and shared (s:) drives. Users may need to reboot their computers on Friday morning if the home and shared drives fail to automatically reconnect.

****Banner PROD downtime starting Friday Evening****

Beginning at 9:00 PM and lasting until roughly noon on Saturday, ALL Banner Production services will be unavailable as our remote DBA team will be pushing required security patches and updates to Banner systems.  During this time, Banner forms, SSB, and all other PROD Banner systems will be unavailable.

CS Maintenance for tonight – 5/17 (PC reboots), and Banner PROD downtime this weekend

****Thursday Maintenance- Campus PCs WILL reboot****

Tonight beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be pushing critical security patches and updates to campus PC computers. One required installation WILL force PCs to restart to finish the installation, so please be sure to save any open files and log out and leave your computer turned on before leaving work today to ensure you do not lose any data.

****Banner PROD downtime starting Friday Evening****

Beginning at 8:00 PM and lasting for most of the weekend, ALL Banner Production services will be unavailable as our remote DBA team will be pushing required security patches and updates to Banner systems.  During this time, Banner forms, SSB, and all other PROD Banner systems will be unavailable. Once the systems are back up, Computing Services will send a message directly to the Banner Users Group (BUGs) to notify that it is available.

Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 3/29 Banner PROD

****Thursday Maintenance****

Beginning at 9:00 PM and lasting until roughly midnight, ALL Banner Production services will be unavailable as we will be pushing security patches and updates to several Banner systems.  During this time, Banner forms, SSB, and all other PROD Banner systems will be unavailable.

Also on Thursday evening, Computing Services will be making the final steps in the major, multi-year migration to the campus VoIP system, which is to disconnect our legacy PBX system. No impact is anticipated with this maintenance.

Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 3/22 and Banner downtime Sunday, 3/25

****Thursday Maintenance****

Beginning at 5:30 PM and lasting until around 7:00 PM, Computing Services will be performing maintenance on our campus wifi system. During this time, wifi Internet access will be interrupted as the wireless access points reboot as part of the maintenance process.

Then, beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be pushing security patches and updates to campus Mac computers. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers turned on in order to assist with the installation process.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, there will be brief interruptions to several back-end systems and services as we perform reboots as part of the patching and maintenance process. There should be very minimal impact to campus users at this time.

****Sunday Morning Banner PROD Maintenance****

Lastly, on Sunday morning beginning at 7:00 AM and lasting until roughly noon, the PROD Banner environment will be receiving updates to the Financial Aid module and other critical maintenance patches. During this time ALL Banner services will be unavailable.

Network Maintenance in Student Union Building during Spring Break

Beginning on Monday from 10:00 AM til 1:00 PM, Computing Services will be engaged in maintenance activities for the fiber optic network in the SUB. The work will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM as well. We have coordinated with the employees in the SUB that will be affected, but also wanted to share with the general campus community as well.

Tonight at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be pushing security patches and updates to campus Mac computers. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers turned on in order to assist with the installation process.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, there will be brief interruptions to several back-end systems and services as we perform reboots as part of the patching and maintenance process. There should be very minimal impact to campus users at this time.

Lastly, late Sunday/early Monday morning, the QA Banner environment (not PROD) will be receiving updates to the Financial Aid module. No production outages are anticipated with this maintenance.

Beginning at 4:00 AM on Saturday, and lasting until approximately 8:00 AM, PROD Banner will be down for required Oracle system updates. During this time, ALL Banner services will be unavailable. Computing Services Maintenance for tonight (2/1/18)

CS Maintenance for tonight (1/25), Banner Upgrades this weekend and EverFi Data Security and Privacy Training

**Thursday Night Maintenance**

Beginning at 9:00 PM, we will be installing Windows Updates to all PCs on campus. Users are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work today to assist in the installation of these patches.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, there will be brief interruptions to several back-end systems and services as we perform reboots as part of the patching and maintenance process. There should be very minimal impact to campus users at this time.

**Banner Maintenance this weekend**

Beginning at 2:00 AM on Saturday, and lasting until approximately 6:00 PM, PROD Banner will be down for the required 4th Quarter updates to the Banner system. During this time, ALL Banner services will be unavailable. If you have any questions or concerns with this maintenance activity, please contact our Helpdesk at 7741.

**EverFi Data Security & Privacy Training**

In collaboration with Kari Allen in the President’s Office, ASU sent out invitations to the mandatory Data Security and Privacy Training for all employees. We have received questions asking if this is legitimate. This is a legitimate training that needs to be taken by all employees, and we appreciate the campus’s watchful eye on ensuring that this is legitimate.
