Campus networking issues- update

As many of you are aware, we have been experiencing problems with the campus network such as extremely slow connections, and at times, outages in loading content. Computing Services has been working late into the evenings to identify and troubleshoot the issue. We continue to monitor the network closely and are working as quickly as possible to eliminate the issue. As we make progress, Computing Services will notify the campus via email, our blog and announcements on the campus announcements web page.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and are doing everything in our power to fix the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and support.

Computing Services Maintenance for Wednesday and Thursday, August 10th and 11th

**Tonight, Wednesday August 10th**

-At 6:00 PM, in preparation for the beginning of the semester, we must perform a reboot on the campus core router TMS module. Computing Services will work to minimize any campus impact, but there could be intermittent network connectivity issues for about an hour.

**Tomorrow, Thursday August 11th**

Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, lab and TEC Classroom PCs will receive critical security updates to Google Chrome, Firefox, iTunes and LibreOffice. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.

Computing Services thanks you for your patience and understanding as we perform these critical maintenance activities. As always, if you have any questions, please call the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk at 7741 or contact us via email at computingservices@adams.edu

Have a great day!
