Workday Downtime and CS Maintenance this week/weekend (May 22-25)

***Computing Services Maintenance for Wednesday, 5/22***

Beginning at 7:00 PM MT this evening, we will be upgrading the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), the system used to push all Windows updates, software updates, and new applications. We anticipate this maintenance to take ~3 hours to complete and expect no impact to users outside of Computing Services while the maintenance is performed.

***Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 5/23***

Beginning at 4:00 PM MT on Thursday afternoon, we will be shutting down the Banner print server to perform back-end maintenance. Although Banner services will still be available, Banner printing will be unavailable until the server is restarted Friday morning at 7:00 AM MT.

Then starting at 9:00 PM MT on Thursday, we will be:

  • Installing Microsoft Windows updates to all Windows-based systems, including employee, lab and TEC Classroom computers. These patches will force a reboot, so please log off and leave your computers on at the end of your work day Thursday to assist with installation.
  • Installing May updates on all Windows production servers. During the installation of these updates, users will experience intermittent outages (5-15 minutes) and brief interruptions to network services as systems reboot.

***Workday Downtime for Friday, 5/24 through Saturday, 5/25***

Due to regular weekly planned maintenance, the Workday tenants will be unavailable as follows:

  • The Production tenant will be unavailable for a maximum of 3 hours beginning Friday, May 24th at 12:00 AM MT to Saturday, May 25th at 3:00 AM MT.
  • Non-Production tenants will be unavailable for a maximum of 12 hours beginning Friday, May 24th at 5:00 PM MT to Saturday, May 25th at 5:00 AM MT.
  • Additionally, the Sandbox tenant will not be refreshed on Friday, May 24th.
