Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 4/23

Computing Services will be performing several maintenance activities beginning at 9:00 PM tomorrow, Thursday, 4/23. First, Computing Services will be installing Microsoft Windows patches and the Google Chrome update 81.0.4044.113 to all Windows-based systems, including employee, lab and TEC Classroom computers, even ASU-owned computers being used by employees at home. These patches will force a reboot, so please log off and leave your computers on at the end of your work day on Thursday.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, we will be performing maintenance and installing patches on all Windows production servers. Throughout this time, users will experience intermittent outages (5-15 minutes) and brief interruptions to network services as systems reboot.

And finally, also at 9:00 PM, we will be moving Banner backup mount points to the new backup server and Banner PROD Oracle data to the kvm_prod (fast storage) pool. During this approximately 4 hours of downtime, ALL Banner services will be inaccessible, which includes Banner 9, Self-Service, Web-Services, School Services, and DegreeWorks, etc.

Computing Services thanks you for your patience and understanding as we perform these critical maintenance activities. As always, if you have any questions, please call the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk at (719) 587-7741 or contact us via email at computingservices@adams.edu.

Have a great day,

Computing Services
