Reminder- Critical Windows Security Patches and maintenance, please leave PCs on over Spring Break

***Computing Services Maintenance for Employee computers***

As a quick reminder before we head into Spring Break, Computing Services will be pushing out critical security patches to all Windows computers starting this weekend and over Spring Break. If you are leaving campus for Spring Break, please be sure to leave your computer turned on in order to assist the installation of these patches.

***Helpful How-tos, forwarding your campus phone number, connecting to home/shared drives remotely***

Computing Services has configured our phone system so that employee desk phones can be forwarded to cell phones as needed. For information on how to set this up, please refer to this document: https://howto.adams.edu/Telephone. Forwarding information is located at the bottom of the page. If you have any issues or would like assistance, please contact Computing Services at x7741 or via email at computingservices@adams.edu.

***How to access your files from home***

You can access your Google Drive from home!  Navigate to drive.google.com, and login with your ASU credentials. You can also access your shared drives (S:) and your home drive (X:).  When you open a web browser, you can navigate to https://myfiles.adams.edu, you will login with your ASU userid (not your full email address) and your password.

As always, Computing Services appreciates your help and cooperation as we perform these critical security patches. If you have any questions or need technical assistance, please contact the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk at 719-587-7741 or via email at computingservices@adams.edu.

Thank you,

Computing Services
