Planned network outage, CS Maintenance and Recycle Run this week (Thursday-Saturday 8/3 – 8/5)

With the beginning of the semester fast approaching, Computing Services has a significant amount of maintenance we must complete in the next few weeks. Below are all of the maintenance activities taking place this week:

**Planned campus network and employee telephone downtime, this Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM**

In order to retire a component of our campus network, we must take down ALL campus networking services beginning at 6:00 PM. This will affect ALL networking, telephone and Internet services including logging in to the labs, Banner access, wireless, Internet service, employee desk telephones, etc. If you have any concerns, please contact the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk as soon as possible to let us know, x7741 or via email at computingservices@adams.edu

**9:00 PM Maintenance activities this Thursday**

Beginning at 9:00 PM, several back-end systems including several Banner systems will be intermittently unavailable as we apply security updates and patches to these systems and install new Uninterrupted Power Systems. Estimated downtime is roughly 2 hours as we perform these tasks.

***Banner PROD down for critical updates starting this Saturday, August 5th at 7:00 AM***

The Production Banner Database will be down starting at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning and lasting until around 5:00 PM as we install critical Banner updates. During this time, ALL Production Banner services will be unavailable.

**Notice of potential parking interruption near Richardson Hall Friday beginning at 9:00 AM**

Computing Services will be having a large truck parked in the small south-west parking lot of Richardson Hall to pick up of old, obsoleted equipment. Richardson Hall employees may want to park in alternate locations on Friday morning to avoid getting blocked in and to assist with the truck being able to get closer to the loading zone.

Computing Services thanks you for your patience and understanding as we perform these critical maintenance activities. As always, if you have any questions, please call the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk at 7741 or contact us via email at computingservices@adams.edu

Have a great day!
