The following maintenance activities will take place Thursday September 19, 2013 during our normally scheduled maintenance window beginning tonight at 9:00 PM and also Saturday, September 21st:
***Thursday Maintenance***
At 9:00 PM and lasting roughly one hour, we will be upgrading the campus wireless Aruba controller system to add additional licensing. During this time, all wireless networking services on campus will be down and inaccessible. Students may go to either the SUB or McDaniel Hall 24-hour computer labs if network access is critical during this time.
Also at 9:00, we will be updating the firmware on several campus network switches including many switches in the Residence Halls and one switch in Richardson Hall. There will be various outages to each of these locations beginning at 9:00 PM and should be completed no later than midnight.
Employee and TEC Classroom computers will receive critical security patches for Windows, Flash, Adobe Reader, and Shockwave beginning at 9 PM. Employees are encouraged to log out and leave their computers on when leaving for the day. This will enable these updates to run overnight and minimize any impact to our users.
Finally, at 9:00 PM, Self-Service Banner will be down for roughly 3 hours while we perform maintenance on this system. During this time, students will not be able to use School Services.
***Saturday Maintenance***
Beginning at 8:00 AM and lasting until roughly 1:00 PM, all Banner services will be unavailable while we perform several upgrades to the Banner Financial Aid module, Payroll, Finance and other modules.
