Computing Services will be performing an extended maintenance activity beginning at 5:30 PM to take advantage of the greatly reduced student population on campus for Spring Break. We are upgrading our UPS battery backup systems for several critical campus servers as well as moving the servers into a new enclosed rack. In order to accomplish this, all campus networking services will be down from 5:30 PM until roughly midnight as we shut down servers, move them to the new rack, and restore services.
We know there is never an ideal time to perform these types of maintenance activities, but we appreciate the support and understanding of the campus. Our continued focus is on improving redundancy and maintaining very high standards and quality of services and up-time, and appreciate your understanding.
