The following activities will take place this Thursday, May 27th after 9:00 PM: -Critical and security patches from Microsoft will be pushed out to all employee, lab and TEC Classrooms. If possible, please leave any employee computers turned on when you leave work on Thursday in order to reduce the amount of interruption to your work schedule. Also scheduled for this weekend beginning promptly at 5 PM on Friday (5/28) is the student email migration to GMail. Although this will not affect employee email services, Computing Services wanted to inform all faculty and staff in the event that a student inquires about the cut-over. Below is a copy of the message sent to all current students: ---- Just a quick reminder that we will be shutting down the student email server this weekend, as we complete the migration of all student email accounts to Google Apps. The server will be inaccessible beginning at 5PM on Friday (5/28). Once your email has been migrated, you will be able to access all of your messages and your addressbook by logging into http://mail.grizzlies.adams.edu. With this change, your email address will also change to username@grizzlies.adams.edu. We will forward any incoming email to your new account for a few months, but you will need to notify your contacts of your new address.
