Google Meet recording ability discontinued + Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 1/13/22

***Ability to record Google Meet sessions has ended***

In Spring 2020, Google announced that they would offer their Google Meet premium recording feature for free to assist educational institutions in their transition to remote learning due to the pandemic. As of Monday, January 10th, this premium recording feature expired and is no longer available for use by ASU faculty and staff.

Any previously recorded meetings will remain in Google Drive unless the file owner deletes them, and you will still be able to view recordings. However, moving forward, if you have a need to record meetings, check out Zoom, which allows you to record meetings and download recordings.

***Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 1/13/22***

Beginning at 9:00 PM MST on Thursday evening (1/13), Computing Services will be installing January 2022 Microsoft patches/updates to our test systems for future deployment. We anticipate no impact for client-facing systems.

Computing Services thanks you for your patience and understanding as we perform these critical maintenance activities. If you have any questions, please call the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk at (719) 587-7741 or contact us via email at computingservices@adams.edu.

Have a great day,

Computing Services
