For 60 seconds, the YouTube users upload 72 hours of new videos
The more technology develops the more important every second in our everyday lives becomes.  If you are asked about what you think can happen in 60 seconds, you would probably say well not too much… it’s only a minute after all! Yes, but no! Many things can happen for a minute, including you can be “gone in 60 seconds” (according to a popular movie). Things that 10,20, or 30 years ago were far beyond the realm of possible happen on a daily and even hourly basis today. With this article we will try to show you how many actions, events, and things happen in every single minute for 1,440 times every day (60 min X 24 hours)!
A professional type writer can write around 80 words per minute, the Right brothers could complete their remarkable first flight 5 times, and YouTube’s users will upload 72 hours of new video material. What is a minute on the Internet? For 60 seconds there are more than 204 million emails being sent. The online retailer Amazon generates sales for over $83,000, and Apple users download around 48,000 apps. In every single minute there are up to 4 million searches in Google. Our favorite social network, Facebook, enjoys 2.46 million shares every minute and his rival Twitter “tweets” 227,000 times. The popular chat app “Whatsapp,” which was recently bought by “Facebook,” transfers over 347,000 pictures… and the oldest way of mass online communication, Skype, delivers also absolutely astonishing data. If we decide to listen to all of the conversations that occur in the world for 60 second, it will take us more than 23,300 hours!
These numbers help us realize the global importance of the Internet in our lives. It doesn’t matter if we like it or not, but Internet has changed the world dramatically and has connected it in a way that is absolutely amazing.
