Upcoming Lecture on Extra Terrestrial Life

Adams State University will host Professor Donna Jurdy, with the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. Jurdy will speak at noon in Porter Hall room 130 and again at 7 p.m. in Carson Auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Adams State University

Her evening talk is called, “The Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence.”

Jurdy’s current research focuses on the tectonics of Venus, the magnetic lineations on Mars, and Titan’s surface. Her recent research concentrates on terrestrial plate kinematics and dynamics, the tectonics of Venus, magnetization of Mars, and Titan’s surface. She has also worked on Ganymede and the volcanism of Io.
