Travel This Summer: Places to Visit in the U.S.

Summer is rapidly approaching, which makes it a perfect opportunity to travel and road trip with friends. There is a lot the United States has to offer, and many times people do not take the opportunity to visit these things. Summer is the perfect time to visit a place that you have not seen yet.

A great place to start off would be visiting the Four Corners Monument. This landmark is the only place was four states connect. The states that are connected are Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. This place would be fun to visit because, for once in your life, you will be in four places at once.

Take a venture down to the Grand Canyon. This is one of the oldest national parks in the country, its view is breathtaking. The area expands more than 1,000 miles. Tours are offered, such as taking a helicopter ride over the canyon.

Once you are done with that trip, make your way down to California. California is known for many things, such as: In N out Burgers, the beaches, Disneyland, and Hollywood. There is a lot more to be seen.

Death Valley is located in Nevada and California. It is one of the hottest and driest areas in the country. It is also one of the biggest national parks, spanning more than 5,000 miles.

Add some amusement to your road trip travels. Southern California is known for its theme and amusement parks. Visit one of the oldest theme parks, Knott’s Berry Farm, located in Buena Park. The park offers rides, delicious restaurants, and an old ghost town attraction.

California is known for surfing as well. Huntington Beach always hosts the US Open, which a huge surf competition. The competition is a three day event which showcases some of the best surfers.

Make your way up to Northern California to visit Yosemite. Yosemite has many attractions. It is over 1000 miles of beautiful hiking areas, camping, and sightseeing. People can do water activities, rock climbing, and hike the many waterfall trails. This national park is perfect for anyone that loves to do outdoor actives.

In Northern California there is one of the most famous landmarks, Hearst Castle. This is a landmark castle, located off the central coast of California. This mansion was owned by William Randolph Hearst. There is a tour that is available to see the entire mansion. The mansion is filled with countless beautiful artwork and breath taking pools and rooms to complete the lavish lifestyle of Mr. Hearst. A person can also visit Mr. Hearst’s zoo. It is no longer running, but a person can still take a look at what was once Mr. Hearst zoo.

No matter where a person travels, there is so much to be seen. Each state has its own story and uniqueness. Taking a road trip would be perfect for summer, because so many areas can be covered in one trip. Plan one with your friends and it will for sure be a good time.
