The Many and Varied Uses of Coconut Oil

Do you want softer skin? Have you been looking for a conditioner that is all natural? Or do you want to cook healthier? Good news! Coconut oil has countless uses that can benefit your everyday life. In addition, coconut oil is all natural and can be purchased at your local grocery store.

First coconut oil can be used as a lotion to moisturize your skin. Coconut oil can also benefit your skin by providing a refreshing and healing element. For all the ladies out there coconut oil is also a great moisturizer to use before putting on makeup because it helps bring a natural looking glow.

Second, coconut oil can also be used as a conditioner. When your hair is not feeling as soft as usual or your hair is slightly damaged from either dying, curling, straighten, etc. coconut oil helps smooth the tiny hair cells back to place, fixing your damaged hair. This results in smooth silky shiny hair.

Third, coconut oil can be used to fight or prevent fugal infections because of the chain of fatty acids in coconut oil. These acids insert themselves in the fugal membrane which is critical to keep fugal infections around. However, when you put coconut oil on the fugues it attacks the fugal membrane and then fights off the fugues. You have to apply it every day until your fugues is gone to see results.

Fourth, cold sores! Coconut oil can’t completely get rid of the virus. However it prevents it from spreading. Coconut oil has lauric acid. When it is combined with glycerol, it generates an ingredient known as monolaurin. This attacks the limpid envelope of the cold sore. What does that mean? It means that it prevents the cold sore from reproducing anymore negative cells.

Fifth, use of coconut oil is mosquito and fly bite reliever. In Alamosa we have an issue with mosquitoes when its starts to get warm. Though coconut oil can’t help from you getting bitten, coco oil does help the bite heal along with making your bite noticeably less itchy.

Sixth, use of coconut oil is lip balm! Our faces are not really protected by the outside elements, and it doesn’t help that we live in a dry climate. Then again coconut oil can be used as an affective lip balm. The fatty acids in coconut oil can smooth and protect your lips from sun exposer as well.

Seventh, for all you ladies out there coconut oil can be used as a makeup remover. Instead of buying overly expensive makeup remover and moisturizer, why not use coconut oil? Coconut oil gently removes all traces makeup while softening your skin. The outcome leaves your face makeup free, refreshed, and having smooth skin.

Eighth, use of coco oil is for the men! Coconut oil can be used as a shaving cream. Instead of the mess that the foam shaving cream gives you try using coconut oil. Coconut oil provides you protection from cutting and also helps the razor glide over your skin smoothly, leaving you with clean, refreshed, smooth skin and bumps and burn free.

Overall, coconut oil can be used in countless ways! Even more countless ways then what examples are listed. You can find coconut oil at any grocery store and can use it for almost anything. However if you want to use coconut oil for different reasons, make sure you do research before using the product.
