On April 9, the Adams State College department of music will present the second annual Noteworthy Evening. The evening’s proceeds will go toward the building of an endowed music scholarship that will benefit music majors at the college.
According to Dr. Tracy Doyle, the evening will begin with a faculty recital in Leon Recital Hall. The recital is expected to feature different genres of music. Afterwards, in the Luther Bean museum, Bistro Rialto will be catering a 1920’s themed dessert reception. At that time, the dance floor will be opened up to the tune of the faculty jazz combo who will perform jazz and rock music.
“The faculty all generously and enthusiastically donate their time to make the event a success. We believe in our students and want to support them in their education,” said Dr. Doyle.
The faculty recital will begin at 7 p.m. and is expected to last about an hour. The dancing and catering portion of the evening will begin in the Luther Bean Museum at approximately 8 p.m. Tickets at the door are priced at 40 dollars.
“We are not just asking for financial support; we are giving something in return,” Dr. Doyls says of the event. “It is a chance to dress up and have a night out of the town with friends and family while supporting a great cause.”
