Empower U Week April 13 Through April 17

ALAMOSA (April 10) –Adams State University Empower U committee will host a week of events from April 13 through April 17. At all the events, Passport to Fitness will be handed out for a chance to win prizes at the Undie Mile on Friday.

Dr. Misti Neutzling will speak during the Cultural Change event at 2 p.m. Monday, April 13, in the East Campus room 1010. Neutzline works in the Physical Education Teacher Education program at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. She graduated with her Ph.D. in sport and exercise science with an emphasis in sport pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. She will lead a session on electronic fitness and nutrition tracking. In this session people will be learning about my fitness pal and cody apps.

Tuesday, April 14

Basketball, Tuesdays at noon, Plachy Gym

Zombie Week Fall 2015 Planning, 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., East Campus room 101

Disc Golf Instruction, 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m., East Campus parking lot

Disc Golf Tournament, 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., grand prizes given

Racquetball Group, 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Wednesday, April 15

Pickleball, Wednesdays from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., East Campus room 116

Empower U Cooking Class Tastings-Date Night, 7:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., Milagros, located on the northeast corner of State St. and Main St. in Alamosa

Thursday, April 16

Adams State Adventure Program Climbing, 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Rex Activity Center

Zumba with Oneyda Maestas, 7 p.m. until 8 p.m., Rex Activity Center

Friday, April 17

Empower U Bicycling Group, noon, meet at the Grizzly Statue, located in front of the Rex Activity Center

Empower U Yoga Group, noon, East Campus room 116

Empower U Underwear Mile, 3:30 p.m., Campus Green
