Athlete of the Week: November 9

Adams State redshirt freshman cross country runner Tabor Stevens (Canon City, Colo.) has been named the ASCGrizzlies.com Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 6.
Stevens finished second in the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships on Nov. 5. Stevens finished in 32 minutes and 12 seconds and was the first Grizzly to finish. He finished only two seconds behind the individual champion.
Stevens placed sixth in the RMAC Championships on Oct. 22. He clocked a time of 25 minutes and 29 seconds. Stevens finished 34th with a time of 24:51.88 in the 75th Annual OSU Cowboy Open on Oct. 1. On Sept. 10, he placed 10th in the 18th Annual Joe I. Vigil Open, finishing in with a time of 25:23.
The ASCGrizzlies.com Athlete of the Week award, which will be handed out weekly, was selected by a vote of media members and ASC athletic administrators as well as by visitors to the Grizzly website, who could cast their vote in an online poll.
Stevens came in third in the online poll, gaining 20.2 percent of the votes.
Volleyball player Megan Tapia, football player Delton Prescott, and women’s cross country runner Alicia Nelson were this week’s other nominees.
