Women’s Lacrosse

Adams State sophomore women’s lacrosse player Lexy Hamilton (Monte Vista, Colo.) has been named the ASCGrizzlies.com Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 1.
On Saturday, March 3, Hamilton scored six goals against Colorado Mesa University (CMU), breaking ASC’s single-game individual scoring record. She took ten shots against CMU, all of which were on goal. Hamilton’s six goals helped the Grizzlies to fourteen goals in the contest, which breaks their single-game scoring record previously set at nine. Hamilton also had five ground balls and caused four turnovers.
The ASCGrizzlies.com Athlete of the Week, which is awarded each week during the school year, was selected by a vote of media members, ASC athletics administrators, and visitors to ASCGrizzlies.com who cast their votes in the on-line fan poll.
Hamilton was unanimously selected by media members and athletics administrators. She also won the fan poll, bringing in 55.6 percent of the votes.
The only other nominee for this week’s award was senior softball player Rebecca Lindquist (Fort Collins, Colo.).
