ALAMOSA (March 5) – The Adams State University Nielsen Library and the Adventure Program will host an ongoing lecture series this semester entitled Earth, Water, and Sky: Conversations on the Great Outdoors – San Luis Valley and Beyond.
The first event, Fly Fishing Around the San Luis Valley: the Zen, Aesthetics, and Conservation of Chasing Trout, a talk by Deacon Aspinwall, will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the Nielsen Library second floor lounge. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Bring your curiosity and a friend or two.
Listen to a “local trout bum” discuss what fly fishing is, the joys of doing it around the San Luis Valley, places to fish and what to use, as well as what is taking place to preserve this natural resource.
