In Local news, the Alamosa County Sherriff’s Office has made more Arrests in the alleged theft ring.
Officials have arrested Jamie Berry, 21, and a warrant is out for another.
Sheriff’s Deputy, Kayla Covington, and Lieutenant, James McCloske, have already made several arrests and are continuing investigations into thefts from 20 Alamosa mailboxes. In Regional news Wolf Creek Ski Area Avalanche Technician and Senior Patroller, Colin Sutton, was caught in a fatal avalanche on Tuesday, March 4.
Sutton, was conducting an exploration and research mission via helicopter on Conejos Peak, in the South San Juan Mountain Range.
Sutton, originally from Durango, had most recently lived in Pagosa Springs.
The death is the seventh caused by an avalanche in Colorado this winter season, and the 19th in the U.S. In National news NASA is offering citizen scientists $35,000 for help in tracking Asteroids.
The competition, that starts next week and runs through August, is an attempt to crowd source innovation.
Citizen scientists can win money in several phases of the Asteroid Data Challenge. NASA says, “The winning solution must increase the detection sensitivity, minimize the number of false positives, ignore imperfections in the data, and run effectively on all computers.
Fears about meteors hitting earth have risen since last year due to a meter, spanning 22yards in diameter, hitting Russia and killing 1000 people.
In International news  Malaysia Airlines flight, MH370, has disappeared without a trace.
The head of the Malaysia Aviation authority said, “no debris from the plane had been found,” and he also said, “they could not rule out the plane had been hijacked.”
An International search for the missing plan has uncovered a number of issues. 5 passengers checked in but didn’t board. And 2 passengers were traveling on stolen passports.
Malaysia’s prime minister said, “all air travel procedures at Malaysian airports were under review.”
