The one-time only showing of “Fandom of the Opera” will be on Thursday, March 4 at 7:30 pm.

The Emmy-award winning sound editor Mark Schubin will be presenting the show on the main stage in the theater building.  He is also the engineer-in-charge of the Metropolitan Opera’s media department.

Dr. Taylor Professor of Theater in the Theater Department says, “It will be an entertaining and unique look at the music world from the perspective of opera.”

This one-hour slide show presentation is sure to be up beat and exciting as you see how opera has affected the music, movie, and inventing world. Also come see what famous singers and stars throughout history have sung opera. “[It’s an] informative look at the history, present, and possible future of opera and the media” says Mark Schubin.
