ASU student Adrian Reyes participated in alternative spring break to El Salvador with a Newman group from Colorado Mesa University. He reflects,

“I can’t find the right words to describe how powerful that experience was. When someone asks me about my trip, I am so excited to talk about my experiences there –what we did, the organization we worked with, how we lived, etc. —  Unfortunately, there are very few who can really understand what I went through and how this trip changed my life forever. I strongly believe that the best things in life cannot be seen or touched, but we must feel them with our hearts.”  He added,

“Trips like this make you appreciate every little thing you have in a more profound, meaningful way. Seeing the family structure in El Salvador really helped me appreciate and love my family for all the things they have done for me. Just for being in this country as well and how many things we take for granted.
