Professor Hilwig earned his BA from Vanderbilt University and a PhD in History from Ohio State University in 2000. Raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dr. Hilwig became interested in European History due to experiences as an exchange student to Germany and while working for Sicilian immigrants in a pizzeria. He joined the Adams State College faculty in 2000 and later met and married a brilliant sociologist. Drs. Stuart & Stephanie Hilwig are the proud parents of three children.
