Alamosa—On Saturday November 7th the San Luis Valley Symphony will be playing their fall concert. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Leon Memorial Hall. The San Luis Valley Symphony consists of Adams State students and San Luis Valley community members. This group has been rehearsing since the middle of the summer in preparation for this concert.
They will be performing Edvard Grieg’s “Orchestersuite” movements one, two, three, and four; Ludwig Van Beethoven’s “Coriolan Overture”; Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite movements one, two, three, and four; and W.A. Mozart’s Divertimento No. 1.
Junior Violin Performance major and concert master Aric Egana says he is “happy to be performing with a group that continues to grow in size and talent every year.”
Tickets are available for purchase at the door. Ticket prices are adults $5, children and students $1, and free for AS&F and Friends of Music. For more information call the Music office at 719-587-7621.
