One of the world’s richest and most successful teams, Real Madrid C.F. or as it is often referred to as the “King’s club” being under the direct sponsorship of the King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, has been having some issues and conflicts “inside” the dressing room which can potentially cause the team some problems in the upcoming important games in both, the Champions Leagues against the Italian “giants” Juventus F.C. as well as the major derby against FC Barcelona on October 26th.
Cristiano Ronaldo is by far the team’s best player with his 210 goals in 206 games ever since he joined the team as well as numerous assists throughout his time in Real Madrid C.F. His general impact on the club’s performance in each tournament is tremendous. CR7 was disappointed by the public statement that Real Madrid’s assistant coach, and living legend for the whites, Zinedine Zidane, made on Friday, October 11th. The 2-time Ballon D’or winner pointed out Frank Ribery as the one who deserves the award of the World’s Best Player for this year. His argumentation was that the French winger and one of the leaders of the last season’s best team in Europe, F.C. Bayern Munich, performed exceptionally throughout the whole last season helping Bayern Munich to win every possible championship (4.) However, the World’s Best player award has become an obsession for the Portuguese star of Real Madrid in the past couple of years, and such a statement made by his own coach is definitely insulting for a player like C. Ronaldo. CR7 won the most prestigious individual award in 2008 as a Manchester United player, also winning a phenomenal “treble” (3 championships) with the English “giants.” Ever since, Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid C.F. he has been put in “the shadow” of the Argentinian super-star Lionel Messi, by the European football (soccer) analysts. Messi won the award 4 years in a row from 2009 to 2012, and even though some of these awards could be questioned on the basis of accomplishments, goals scored, effectiveness, etc., Ronaldo has remained second for all these years. In 2013 Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to reach the 50 goals mark, where Lionel Messi is 2nd with 42 and Frank Ribery is not even in the Top 7.
Regardless of the statistics the Real Madrid’s super-star player, CR7, ego is hurt, by his own coach. The last thing that “The King’s club” would want is Ronaldo not performing at his best due to an internal conflict within the team. The Portuguese international stated clearly that he wants more support from his own club management  “I hoped that after resigning my contract I will have the full support of the team’s coaching staff, but I have obviously lied to myself. Now I am disappointed by Zidane’s statement and I am waiting an apology from him.”
