ALAMOSA (January 16) – In an effort to raise awareness of cyberbullying and the damage it can cause, the Adams State University Department of Counselor Education hosts “Cyberbullying in Our Children’s Environment,” by Tina Meier, with the Megan Meier Foundation. The free event begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 in McDaniel Hall room 101.
Join the Counselor Education Department for an informative and educational event with nationally acclaimed cybersafety speaker, Meier. Meier’s daughter, Megan, took her own life at age 13 due to the actions of cyberbullies.
Megan’s story will be shared along with the topics of bullying, bystanders, cyberbullying and sexting. The presentation will provide up-to-date information about the dangers that children face online as well as offline.
