The first Adams State University Title V STEM Saturday is September 14. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Program will be held from 9 a.m. until noon. George Sellman, assistant professor of computer science, will lead students through “Robotics and Interactive Art with Sensors and Arduinos,” in Porter Hall room 135.
Students, in grades 6-12, interested in robotics, robotic-controlled equipment, or computer programming are encouraged to attend.
In the first hour students will learn enough about controlling robots to begin writing their own programs and designing mechanized sculptures.
There is still time to register for the free interactive session. For more information or reservations contact Cindy Bervig, STEM outreach coordinator, at 719-587-7586 or cbervig@adams.edu.
