ALAMOSA (March 2) – The Adams State University 2015 Faculty Lecture “Leading Ladies: Women Political Leaders Across the World,” by Dr. Mari Centeno, professor of political science, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in Porter Hall room 130.
Who are these leading ladies? Why are there so few of them? If women make up half of the global population, should they hold half of the world’s power? These are just a few of the questions Dr. Mari Centeno will address as she discusses the relationship between gender, ideology and power across the globe.
All talks are free and the public is invited. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered. For further information on the series of lectures, contact Dr. Kristy Duran, assistant professor of biology, at 719-587-7767, or by email: klduran@adams.edu.
