ALAMOSA (November 11) – The origins of homosexuality have been debated throughout human history, and until only recently have we been able to investigate it scientifically. The Adams State University Fall 2014 Faculty Lecture Series “Biology of Homosexuality,” by Dr. Nathan Pipitone, assistant professor of psychology, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Porter Hall room 130. This talk will cover some of the major findings from what the field of neuroscience is starting to tell us about the role that our biology plays in the origins of homosexuality, and also the nature of sexuality in general. The talk will also investigate how environmental factors, such as parenting, relate to homosexuality. All talks are free and the public is invited. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered.
