The Adams State Counseling Center, located in 220 Richardson Hall, is open and free to all students and their families to receive individual, group, and/or couples counseling. All information shared with the Counseling Center staff is confidential within the limits of the law. Staff and counselors are available form 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and can be contacted by calling ext. 7746, by email, or by stopping in the office to make an appointment.
Counseling of all types can be a great tool for students to learn about themselves and how to better attain their goals. Individual counseling allows students the opportunity to talk through their dreams, goals and fears, and invites a greater knowledge of what students want out of college, career and life. One of the primary goals of counseling services provided through the center is to help students resolve the external issues in their life that may be negatively impacting the student’s ability to focus on classes and degree attainment.
Counselors will work with students to help decide which services might best meet their needs, and will make referrals to other services when appropriate. Best of all, the center’s services are free and confidential.
