A group of Adams State students pulled an all-nighter on Friday night, but they weren’t doing what you’d think. Instead of spending the night out or writing a paper, they spent the night in the Adams State bubble for the annual all-night soccer tournament.
The tournament is hosted as a fundraiser for the men’s and women’s soccer teams. Soccer players recruited friends to form teams for this double elimination tournament. Games began at 8:00 p.m. on Friday night and finished at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning, with teams playing throughout the night. Many Adams State athletes and non-athletes came out to play and cheer on their friends. Even some locals got in on the action.
The tournament started out with 12 teams and narrowed it down to one champion. The Bumblebees (pictured top left) came away with the tournament victory this year. Each team member took how an ASU Soccer Tourney Champ shirt and bragging rights over all their friends.
