Adams State Malaria Awareness Presentation is April 25

ALAMOSA (April 11) – Join Adams State University in recognizing the devastating impact of malaria on the world’s poor on World Malaria Day, April 25. Malaria is a disease that afflicts over 300 million people in 97 countries every year, and kills over a million – most of them children under the age of five living in sub-Saharan Africa. The World Health Organization ranks Malaria as its top priority tropical disease.
This inaugural event will be from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, in Porter Hall room 130, with the showing of a documentary film entitled “3 Billion and Counting – the death toll is rising”, by Dr. Timothy Rutledge. The event is free and open to the public.
