Larry Holder Exercise and Cancer Survivorship program seeking participants

The Larry Holder Exercise and Cancer Survivorship program is seeking participants for its spring program. All cancer survivors ages 18 years or older in the San Luis Valley are welcome regardless of gender, type, or stage of cancer. Now in its sixth year, this program continues to offer a place where participants are able to work towards their personal fitness goals in a non-judgmental setting while enjoying a support network of fellow cancer survivors. There is no cost to the participant, but completing the entire twelve weeks of the study is crucial to ensure accurate results for the research study are obtained. The study consists of one week of pre-testing by appointment starting January 27 followed by 10 weeks of exercise programming meeting 3 times each week, with post-testing starting the week of April 14.
Pre-registration meetings: 5 pm Wednesday, January 22 or 12 noon Thursday, January 23. All meetings will be held in the Adams State University East Campus building, room 107. Anyone interested but unable to attend one of the scheduled meetings, please contact the Kinesiology Department program coordinator, Ally Miles, as soon as possible to set up an individual appointment at (303) 519-9932 or email milesaj@adams.edu.
