Zach Baxter Earns Conference Recognition

Zach Baxter earned recognition from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) following his stellar performance at the Joe Davis Open in Golden, CO. Baxter was named the RMAC track athlete of the week earning a first place finish. Baxter set a personal record in the shot put, throwing 17.27 meters. Baxter’s mark ranks him seventh in the nation in the shot put.

The Grizzlies will be in action this weekend in Gunnison for the RMAC Championship. Baxter and his teammates will be looking to clench another title for Adams State. The NCAA meet will then be held in Alabama.

Adams State will then begin their outdoor season for 2015. The first outdoor meet will occur during late March in Pueblo. The Grizzlies will not return home for track and field until their outdoor meet on May 10 for the NCAA Last Chance Qualifier. Outdoor Nationals will then be held in Michigan.
