Billy’s Idol

Adams State College is calling all those with talent to try out to become the College’s first Billy’s Idol! ASC is hosting a search for the most talented individuals in an American Idol-style talent contest renamed to honor Adams State founder, Billy Adams. The contest will be open only to Adams State students.

The beginning of Billy’s Idol was held on Friday, October 9, when students were openly invited to share their talents in a mass cold-call screening. Students were able to enjoy the talents of other students and share in their victory while sympathizing and secretly laughing at others’ failures. The event was a marker for this semester and greatly memorable to those in attendance.

The next wave of Billy’s Idol is scheduled to continue this Saturday, October 17th for those who cleared the first round. The contestants will have the opportunity to continue on to open auditions. All students interested in seeing their contestants continue on are encouraged to attend as audience members from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in Carson Auditorium.

Surviving finalists from the Saturday, Oct. 17th auditions will give a special performance at half-time at the football home game on Saturday, October 31, leaving their fate to students who text in their votes so see who gets through to the final competition, set to be held on Saturday, November 7 at half-time of the home football game.
