ASU Professional Development Week Career Fair

The Adams State University Office of Career Services will host a Spring Career Fair for students and alumni. The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Student Union Building Banquet Rooms.

Career Services Coordinator Ed Venegas organized the event. He said students, alumni, and community members are invited to network with recruiters to learn about job opportunities available. There is no cost to attend.

First job finances will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in Carson Auditorium. Participants will learn how to wisely manage their new found ability to generate an income. This workshop will discuss and define benefits packages, savings, investing, and borrowing. Resume essentials is from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Carson Auditorium.

An etiquette dinner will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Student Union Banquet Rooms. Recruiters will be present to sit with participants and a business etiquette presentation will also be included. The event is free for seniors graduating in 2014 and $15 for others.
