The campus is upgrading from Banner 8 to Banner 9. This new release delivers a number of important enhancements, including a modern user interface, enhanced navigation and process management tools, and new functionality across the student, HR, and finance functions. It will also give the flexibility to run Banner on any browser and on tablets.
We know that you may have concerns about what will change with this upgrade and we have been working closely with our partner, Ellucian, to understand and anticipate those changes. The move to Banner 9 will be made in phases. Work is already underway, with a target for completion of early July 2018. Computing Services will be reaching out to offices and departments as soon as we are ready for testing. We are upgrading the administrative modules first, so there will be little to no impact on our students. The second phase will be upgrading the self-service applications, which will be later this year.
