ASC awarded grant for financial literacy project

Campus collaboration

Adams State recently received one of nine Financial Literacy Counts Grants awarded by Higher One. There were 80 applicants from across the country. The $5,000 grant will support the Adams State Money TV project.

This partnership between ASC’s Business faculty, the offices of Financial Aid, Student Engagement, and Communication, and Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA/PBL). The group will work together to make a series of 15-20 short (3-5 minute) but high quality, student-written and produced videos that focus on important topics in financial literacy. Topics will include credit cards, student loans, budgeting, and managing a bank account. Videos will be broadcast via the campus TV station, posted the website, and used to redesign the financial literacy section of the First Year Seminar.
