The 2014 District History Fair Winners Announced

ALAMOSA (January 28) – Middle and high school students competed in the annual District History Fair, part of the National History Day Competition, on Saturday, January 25. Hosted by the Adams State University Department of History, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, and Spanish, the event’s theme, “Rights and Responsibilities in History,” included individual and group entries.
Winners will proceed to the State History Fair at University of Colorado Denver, on May 3.
The following students received award certificates:

Junior Papers
First place: Lexi Shawcroft, Centauri Middle School; second place: Rand Kidd, Sargent Middle School; third place: Isaiah Archuleta, Skoglund Middle School.
