Islam is one of the world’s most profound religions, yet, it is seen as one of the youngest. Islam is culturally strong within the Arab group of people. People who follow Islam are called Muslims, meaning “surrendered to god.” Islamic roots date back to the beginning of time which gives it its resilient foundations and language. Unlike the other world religions such as Christianity Islam has maintained strong culturally. The Qur’an is said to come under no scrutiny unlike the Christian Bible, due to the number of formats the bible is printed in. Unlike Christianity, Islam’s culture and language has created a resilient, stable and profoundly strong religious nation.
Islam is said to have been connected with other religions like Christianity and the Jewish religion. Jesus, Abraham and Moses are all mentioned as being prophets along the lines with Muhammad. This prestigious religion rose from Mecca in Saudi Arabia and was founded by Muhammad. The angel Gabriel visited Muhammad while he was meditating and recited the revelation to him. Although Muhammad is said to be the founder, Muslim’s believe in only one true god, Allah. Arabic culture developed along numerous other religions that the Muslim’s incorporated into their own giving it diversity and stability. The text reads “Muhammad will involve the fusion of the multiple cultures into a coherent whole, a vision of the universe and human life.” This shows how culturally accepting the Muslim’s where and how open minded they are to improve their own. Abu Baker was the first Caliph who endured the Muslim Caliphate.
Islam has a number of different beliefs just like other religions. However, unlike most religions, Muslims beliefs strictly controlled the way they live and unified their empire. Islam follows the five pillars and the six articles of faith. The Islamic population salat five times a day facing towards mecca, which shows their commitment to the religion. Unlike other religions, Islam is monotheistic; however, they do not reject other religions. Islam does share some characteristics with other religions, the text says “The relationship of the world (including humanity) to God is the relationship between created and creator.” This is very similar to Christianity, in that they both believe that god is the divine creator.
The Muslim empire managed to establish itself successfully across the globe. The Islamic empire at its peak was bigger than the Roman Empire. The Islamic desire to spread the faith was undeniable and the reason for such a huge empire. Due to size of the empire it also became very wealthy. A direct result of this wealth was from the Jizaya. Not everyone believed in Islam, and the Muslims were very acceptable of this, however, the Jizaya was a tax for the non-believer. The culture of being supportive to other religions and then smartly taxing them helped the Muslim empire become the profound empire it was.
In sum, the Islamic culture, language and beliefs spanned across the globe, and successfully converted a large amount of people to follow the Muslim faith. Islam is very tolerant of other religions and also incorporates a lot of them, including Christianity and the Jewish religion. This monotheistic religion had one god and one set of rules for all to follow. The Muslim people stay strong to their faith and worship it very highly. Unlike its counterpart, Christianity, the Muslim people have stay strong to their cultural roots.
