I always hear about how bad Facebook is for you. It brings you down because you’re seeing how other people are living and how great their lives are rather than focusing on your own positives. I’ve seen how it destroys families and also brings people together. Well a new article shows that Facebook is actually good for you!
Facebook can boost your confidence in minutes! Just spending a few minutes on Facebook can help you feel better about yourself because you’re choosing the information people see about you. This allows you to essentially be who you want to be!
You can chill out by posting. It’s been proven that your heart rate decreases when you post and read friends posts. Facebook also allows you to dream of what could be. Post pictures of your most recent vacation, brag a bit. This may cause envious feelings, but it triggers satisfaction in your brain.
You’re allowed to show off a bit. Post away with your writings, poetry, photos, business, art, and music; whatever it might be! Post and be happy, show yourself off a bit!
People also reported lower levels of pain when viewing photos of loved ones, or a loved one’s profile. Browse around a little and have less pain!
Facebook has been shown to lower your weight! What!?While I’m sitting here eating a bag of chips and browsing the internet, excreting no physical energy, I’m losing weight?! Yes, Facebook helps you drop pounds. When you join a weight loss group on Facebook, the support from the users helps keep a person motivated and feeling accountable.
Facebook is also shown to boost productivity. In a study at the University of Melbourne, workers given a 10-minute break to read Facebook were 16 percent more productive than a group that wasn’t allowed to use the Internet during the rest and 40 percent more productive than people who didn’t receive a break at all.
Facebook users experience a 25 percent improvement in their working memory when using Facebook. It’s believed this happens because it takes a moment to process all the photos and posts you’re seeing as you browse the webpage.
Men feel more confident using online portfolios rather than talking to a woman in person, go figure. So you’re more likely to land a date through Facebook than in person.
Finally, Facebook helps us stay informed! Facebook is another way for us to be in tune with the world around us, our world, and our friends. Post away my friends! Be happy, gain confidence, heck; lose weight! Clearly, Facebook is the answer!
