Simulation Laboratory Coordinator

Allison C. Bennett BA RN

Allison moved here in March, 2010 from Manitou Springs, Colorado.  She and her family reside at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.  She received her Bachelors Degree in Biology from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia in 2000 and her diploma as a Registered Nurse from Riverside School of Professional Nursing in Newport News, Virginia in 2002.  Her nursing experience includes Outpatient Surgery, PACU, Hospice Case Management and On-Call Hospice Nursing, IV Infusion and Management, Infectious Disease, Acute Medical Care, Oncology, Telemetry, Orthopedic, Occupational, Renal/Diabetic, and Medical/Surgical Nursing.

August 16-18, 2010 – 1st Annual Online Educators Academy by Adams State College

June 14-18, 2011 – 10th Annual International Nursing Simulation Learning Resource Centers Conference in Orlando, Florida – awarded 21.5 Nursing Contact Hours by the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing approved provider by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

January 28-February 1, 2012 – 12th International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare in San Diego, California – awarded 28.75 hours by the Missouri Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

June 21-23, 2012 – 11th Annual International Nursing Simulation/Learning Resource Centers Conference in San Antonio, Texas – awarded 14.5 hours by the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing approved provider by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

October 18-19, 2012 –  Healthy SimAdmin Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada

 January 4-5, 2013 – Elsevier Faculty Development Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada

She has a Graduate Certificate in Simulation Education and is currently enrolled in a Master’s of Nursing Program at the University of Colorado.
