Writing Studio @ Nielsen

Nielsen Writing Studio_24x63 smaller copyStarting next week Writing Studio tutor Josh Lehman will be a regular fixture here at the Nielsen Library.

Josh will be set up on the second floor of the library Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.

The Writing Studio helps with:

  • Grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Formulating a thesis
  • Citing sources
  • Organizing your essay
  • Tightening your style
  • All stages of revision

Tunes@2: a New Nielsen Library Music Series. Starts Friday, February 6, 2:00pm

DSC04575 (2) Kick off your weekend in a great way with Tunes@2, a new performance series that takes place every first Friday (February 6; March 6; April 3; May 1) near the library’s K2 Coffee Lounge, second floor.  This series is co-sponsored by the Nielsen Library and the Music Department.

ASU student Sky Choice, who is majoring in music with an emphasis in performance and music busienss, will kick off the series on Friday, February 6, 2:00pm. Come join us for great music, superb coffee (available for purchase), and fine end-of-week camaraderie.

Naxos Music Library Now Available

naxos copyNaxos is the world´s largest online classical music library, offering streaming access to more than 89,780 CDs with more than 1,306,500 tracks, standard and rare repertoire. Over 800 new CDs are added to the library every month. The library offers the complete Naxos and Marco Polo catalogs plus the complete catalogs or selected titles from over 378 classical, jazz and world music labels with more labels joining every month.
