CS Maintenance for tonight, 1/12/17, Banner Maintenance Saturday, Internet Bandwidth Upgrade info

Beginning at 9:00 PM, we will be updating the security certificate on our Banner Web system. User impact is expected to be minimal.

***Banner PROD down for Maintenance this Saturday, 1/14/17***

The Production Banner Database will be down for most of Saturday as required HR end of year updates are installed on the system. During this time, ALL Banner services will be unavailable.

***Campus Internet Bandwidth Upgrade***

Lastly, Computing Services has been working diligently with CenturyLink to finalize and implement our major campus Internet Bandwidth Upgrade. We have a tentative cut-over planned for early morning Monday, January 16th.

CS Maintenance for tonight, January 5, 2017 and Banner PROD Downtime/Maintenance Saturday

Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, lab and TEC Classroom PCs will receive critical security updates to Windows, iTunes, Chrome and Firefox. Employee MAC computers will receive updates to the Operating System, Office, Firefox, Chrome and Flash. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be installing updates on several back-end systems. Brief reboots will occur, but impact for our customers is expected to be minimal.

***Banner PROD down for Maintenance this Saturday, 1/7/17***

The Production Banner Database will be down for most of Saturday as required AR and Finance updates are installed on the system. During this time, ALL Banner services will be unavailable.

**This will be the last planned maintenance night until after finals week and grades are turned in.

Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, lab and TEC Classroom PCs will receive critical security updates to Windows, Google Chrome, Firefox, Thunderbird, Flash and Acrobat Reader. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, Computing Services will be installing updates on several back-end systems. Brief reboots will occur, but impact for our customers is expected to be minimal.

**Maintenance for tonight, 11/3/16**

Beginning at 8:45 PM, ALL Banner systems will be down for roughly three hours as we perform critical patching and updates on several Banner servers.

**Banner maintenance and downtime for Saturday, 11/5/16**

Beginning at 5:00 AM, ALL Banner systems will be down as we apply PROD HR and Financial Aid upgrades to the system. Banner should be restored by roughly noon.

Computing Services Maintenance for tonight, 10/27 and Banner downtime Saturday 10/29

**Maintenance for tonight, 10/27/16**

Beginning at 9:00 PM, Employee, Lab and TEC Classroom PCs will receive critical security updates to Windows, Google Chrome, Thunderbird, and Firefox. Also, all Mac computers will receive critical security updates to iTunes, Flash, Microsoft Office, Firefox, Thunderbird, Google Chrome, Safari and Mac OS X. Employees are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.

Beginning at 7:00 PM, Windows servers will be updated downtime estimated 15-30 min for install/reboots.

Some backend servers will also need updates, reboots. Estimated 30-minute downtime.

**Banner maintenance and downtime for Saturday, 10/29/16**

Beginning at 3:00 AM Banner’s PROD Student 8.9.4 & BANJSPROXY will be updated. Banner should be restored by roughly 12:00 PM.

**Updated, later start time** Network Outage tonight for system maintenance

In order to accommodate a few classes still in session, Computing Services will begin the Network Maintenance at 8:00 PM tonight, Thursday, October 20th.

We have also refined some of the steps involved with this maintenance, and are hoping to limit the downtime for ALL network services to roughly 1 hour.

Network Outage Thursday Night due to system maintenance – CS Maintenance

*Beginning at 6:00 PM this Thursday, October 20th, ALL network services will be down for roughly two hours as Computing Services implements critical system changes to improve network performance. We chose this window for maintenance due to the Fall Break, but if you have any concerns or questions, please call the ASU Computing Services Helpdesk as soon as possible at x7741 or via email at computingservices@adams.edu

Beginning at 9:00 PM, there will be very brief interruptions to network printing and a few other back-end systems as they are rebooted as part of their system maintenance.

Employees with Macs are encouraged to log off but leave their computers on when leaving work for the day. This will assist the installation of these patches and minimize any impact.

Also beginning at 9:00 PM, ALL Banner systems will be down for roughly three hours as we perform critical patching and updates on several Banner servers.

Beginning at 5:00 AM, ALL Banner systems will be down as we apply Oracle PSU updates to the database. Banner should be restored by roughly 9:00 AM.

Computing Services Maintenance for today, Thursday, September 29th, 2016

Beginning at 9:00 PM, we will be applying critical security patches and upgrades to several back-end systems. These patches will require brief outages as the systems reboot, but impact to campus services should be less than 30 minutes. This includes printing in the computer labs, and also wireless services in the Student Union Building.

On Saturday beginning at 3:00 AM, the DEVL Banner system will be down for several hours for a series of upgrades. No production Banner downtime is expected.
