Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

Due to the length of time required to perform the maintenance, the following maintenance activities will take place beginning at 5 PM:

  • All Banner services will be unavailable from 5:00 PM until around midnight for the installation of battery back-up systems, power distribution units, and cable management equipment. Employees are asked to log out of all Banner systems when leaving work. Students will not be able to access their grades or other school services during this time.
  • All network service will experience brief outages as we perform upgrades to network switches. These upgrades are required to resolve an issue that arose a few weeks ago in which services were lost temporarily due to a switch running older software.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the ASC Computing Services Help Desk at x7741 or via email at asccompserv@adams.edu. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Computing Services Maintenance for Thursday, 12/1/11

The following maintenance activities will take place after 9 PM during our normally scheduled maintenance window:

  • Employee computers in Richardson Hall will receive critical upgrades to Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird. Employees are urged to leave their computers on and log out at the end of the work day to assist in this upgrade. Employee computers in other buildings on campus will not be affected by this upgrade.
  • The campus LDAP and Content Management System Bricolage will be rebooted shortly after 9 PM for critical patches.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the ASC Computing Services Help Desk at x7741 or via email at asccompserv@adams.edu. Also, as the campus prepares for finals week and other end of the semester activities, this will be the last maintenance night of the semester performed by Computing Services.

Thank you,

Computing Services.
