Alright so Friday I leave for Albuquerque to go back home till I get my Associates At the community college I am going too.  I’m going to be sad to leave because I love it here so much, but my family comes first when they need something I will do it to the best of my ability.   I want to give a couple shout outs to professors, staff and a club.  So first of all there is Michelle Romero who allows me to blog for the school so if you want to blog go talk to her!  She is our blogging mamma and will always help us with anything she is amazing and I will miss her. Shirley who is the campus minister who has been there for me when I needed someone to talk to or just someone to sit down and chat with in between classes. she is also amazing,  Dr. Linda Reid she is my advisor, professor and my friend.  She is amazing person who I know for a fact I’m going to stay talking too on facebook since she’s my friend on there.  Last but not least I want to give a shut out to GAB and all my friends I made while in GAB they are amazing people who you can hang out with and also a smokers case smoke a cigarette with before events, before meetings, after meetings before classes anything there all great people to be around.   As this week comes to an end and finals are ending its going to be rough leaving but you know what I will be here to visit whenever I can.  If you want to stay in touch with me or have any questions you can send me an email at santillanesaa@aol.com.  I’ll me more then happy to talk to any one.

Wish everyone best in college and in life and thank you for reading my blogs this year.

So this week was Grizzly Daze which is a week long of events that Gab puts on.  Gab is the grizzly activity board aka student activities board.  It started off with super fun day which is some inflatables, face painting and human hamster balls which was a lot of fun.  I only signed up for the set up of the event but ended up staying the whole time minus an hour when I got ready for class and ate dinner.  Tuesday night was free bowing for the students and faculty which was a lot of fun I bowled the whole time while I worked.  Wednesday was main event we had Peter Boie who is a magician come in and preform for us he was really great and cool,  we also had Steve Byrne who is one of my favorite comedians,  he was in four Christmases and couples retreat. He was absolutely hilarious I couldn’t stop laughing all through out his show even when he was ragging on New Mexico and us Mexicans. On thursday night we had Casino night where there were $1000 dollars worth of prizes of which I could not win due to me being in GAB but I had a lot of fun hanging out with friends and working.

Over all I had a fun week but very stressful since it was non stop

Here are some pictures of the week’s events except for Casino night because I forgot my Camera in my room which is sad.

So this past week at the weekly GAB meeting(grizzly activity board).  They announced who won the GAB member of the month. It was suggested by the Vice president of Programming that I  win the award because of the fun in the sun event that we put on the week before.  It was a big surprise for me because I was just doing what I do best Working hard, fast and precise at all times.  So if you work hard you will get rewarded some how or way even if its a little thing who cares what it is even if its nothing. Your hard work pays off eventually.

Go Grizzly’s!!!!!!

PS GAB is an club that puts on events for students on campus and the community!  It is a lot of fun to do!

Hey everyone so in the last 2 weekends I went on 2 different retreats.  The first one I went on the weekend up Oct 16-18 was the Grizzly Activity Board(GAB) retreat.  It was a leadership/ team building retreat so we all can work together better and know each other better since we only saw each other for a whole weekend and no one else from the school!  That retreat was a lot of fun for everyone that was on it because of all of the fun activities which one of them was shooting .22 rifles during free time for about 2 hours a lot of us who were there all agreed that it was the best part of the retreat.  It was cold during the retreat we were in the middle of the mountains staying in cabins where none of them had heaters unless they put the propane heater in the cabin and they turned off the generators at 11pm night so we didn’t have any electricity at all to do stuff in.  because of this a lot of us star gazed the first night there and then on Saturday when they turned it off we all just talked and spent more time with each other. so overall it was A LOT of fun
fun at night with no electricty
Gab Retreat about half the group after the electricity was turned off

This past weekend I went on another retreat Oct 23-25.  It was with the Newman club the Catholic Club on campus.  This retreat was a lot of fun also.  There were students from Western, Mesa, CSU-Pueblo, ASC. I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting a school.  but anyways this was a leadership retreat for all of us who went.  On Friday all we really did was ice breakers to meet everyone there and also a prayer session which I thought was really good! On Saturday it was pretty laid back all day. We had 3 or 4 sessions but all of them was all about leadership and Christian leaders.  It was so hard saying goodbye to everyone I met from other schools on Sunday morning I grew close to the students from the other schools that I hung out with the whole weekend. It was overall a fun weekend

everyone that was there!
everyone at the end of the retreat! will miss all these people till I see them again in 1 year!
